STATION F announced today it will host “F For Femme”, an exclusive event around diversity and female entrepreneurship with leading speakers from all around the world to discuss best practices and how we can help women to be more involved in the tech ecosystem. The event will be held at STATION F on October 1st.
Speakers and panelists will discuss leading gender and diversity initiatives with some of the top female entrepreneurs of our era. Topics will highlight projects that demonstrate how to build female-friendly communities, how to increase the number of women in tech education, and how to better distribute capital to female-led companies. The event strives to provide practical examples that are currently being used and have proven successful for increasing diversity.
“Diversity has always been one of the core values of STATION F. We now have more than 45% of female-founded companies in five of our startup programs and more than ⅓ of our residents are women. We want to push this forward. By hosting F For Femme, a world class event on female entrepreneurship, we want to promote best practices to build a more inclusive ecosystem”, said Roxanne Varza, STATION F’s Director.
First speakers include:
- Jessica Livingston, co-founder of Y Combinator, a reference in the startup ecosystem that incubated Stripe, Airbnb and Dropbox among many others.
- Alice Bentinck, founder of Entrepreneur First, a startup program that invests in people, not projects. They help talents find a co-founder and jumpstart a project.
- Sophia Bendz, partner at Atomico, a well-respected international VC fund.
F For Femme will take place on October 1st and will be a free, invitation-only event. Guests can request an invitation on STATION F’s website. New speakers and the full program will be announced in the coming weeks. Press accreditation will be open starting September 1st.
