STATION F welcomes new program with Tokyo Metropolitan Government for Japanese startups
STATION F, HEC Paris and Tokyo Metropolitan Government launch "Bonjour Global," a new program on campus for Japanese startups. Applications are now open.
We're excited to welcome the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) to STATION F, in partnership with HEC Paris, to support Japanese startups in scaling into the French and wider European markets. This new program, called "Bonjour Global," is part of TMG's Global Ecosystem Collaboration Project, which builds partnerships with leading startup ecosystems abroad to accelerate the international growth of startups from Tokyo and across Japan. Following the launch of TMG's Singapore Outbound Program on September 1, France is the next destination in this global expansion, with STATION F as the on-the-ground partner in Paris.
HEC Paris, ranked among Europe's top business schools, brings deep expertise in entrepreneurship and international business, supporting founders with strategic mentoring and access to its network of faculty, alumni and corporate partners.
Through this partnership, TMG gives selected Japanese startups a direct pathway into the French and European entrepreneurial ecosystem, combining an individual roadmap, hands-on mentoring, local market access and a Demo Day in Paris. The program runs from mid-November 2026 to March 2027: a kickoff and one month of online mentoring in Japan, then a core outbound phase in Paris from January 6 to February 28 focused on sales channel development, individual mentoring and a Demo Day, followed by an optional extended phase and a final follow-up stage. Up to 10 startups (up to 20 founders) will be selected, with a focus on deep tech, including aerospace, quantum technology and green technology. Selected startups will receive up to JPY 1.5 million per company in travel support. Applications are open from September 15 to October 9, 2026, with selection taking place in mid- to late October.
With TMG joining KOSME (South Korea), Jetro (Japan), IndiaAI (India) and Terminal 11 (Oman), the International Program continues to grow into a truly global community of founders at STATION F, and deepens our ties with Japan, one of our most active ecosystems on campus. It adds to a year already marked by major new international partnerships across Asia and the Middle East.
We're looking forward to welcoming the first cohort of Japanese founders to STATION F this January.
