Hors Normes aims at becoming a major player in anti-waste in France and Europe. The company, created in April 2020 by Grégoire Carlier, Sven Ripoche and Claire Laurent, just announced a 1,5M€ raise with Stride VC, Kima Ventures and business angels. Part of HEC program at STATION F, Hors Normes offers the opportunity to fruits and vegetables producers to commercialize their products that have been refused by common distribution circuits because of their size or their aspect. This represents 5% of producers’ stocks on average.

“There are numerous and deserving initiatives today to offer a second life to non-commercialized products. In my opinion, we have to start to fight from the beginning of the chain. So we buy all poorly calibrated organic fruits and vegetables to our farmer partners and find consumers for them, that are happy to taste them each week, for budget reasons or because of their engagement for a local, healthy and reasonable production”, explains Grégoire Carlier, CEO of Hors Normes.

More than 1.000 people living in the Parisian region already ordered their basket of organic fruits and vegetables each week. Now, Hors Normes wants to extend its offer with other foodstuffs that traditional distribution refuses (bad conditioning, short expiry date for consumption…) and more cities in France and Europe. Hors Normes is also looking for new profiles to hire in tech and logistics domains to continue its growth.
