French Tech Visa requests will be available online announce Marlène Schiappa, Franck Riester and Cédric O at STATION F
Marlène Schiappa, Franck Riester and Cédric O unveiled at STATION F the new strategy of French State “Welcome to la French Tech” to welcome international talents in the French tech ecosystem.
With the unprecedented growth of startups, the dynamism of unicorns and innovative projects, having a diverse tech ecosystem is more important than ever. Since its opening in 2017, STATION F has welcomed almost ⅓ of projects from international entrepreneurs, including from the US, China and South Korea. The French Tech Visa, enabling tech talents to benefit from a visa, is one of key elements to attract new people. Ministers Marlène Schiappa, Franck Riester and Cédric O announced today at STATION F that the request process could now be made online, removing a huge pain point for entrepreneurs.
Part of a strategy called “Welcome to la French Tech” and imagined by Marlène Schiappa, Minister Delegate for Citizenship, Franck Riester, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, and Cédric O, Minister of State for the Digital Transition and Electronic Communication, this new process will make it even smoother for entrepreneurs to request their residence permit. In order to ensure that the experience is the same no matter which prefecture you’re asking, La French Tech and the French Interior Ministry just created a network of correspondents that will be dedicated points of contact for everything linked to this visa in each prefecture.
Last but not least, as landing in a new country is not an easy thing, all foreign entrepreneurs can join the French Tech International Community launched by STATION F. This community aims to gather all international talents working in French startups to ensure they can meet other entrepreneurs and find solutions to their problems.
