Unkle (Founders Program Alumni) raises 10M€ to become the leading platform for real estate players
Unkle is an InsurTech startup specializing in rental guarantee solutions and a former member of STATION F’s Founders Program.
Two years after its commercial launch, Unkle completes a double-digit raise with a 10M€ funding round from Mundi Ventures, InnovAllianz managed by Eurazeo, Anaxago, and Patrick Weil (Groupe Prunay). This second round follows an initial 1M€ raise with business angels in 2019.
Created by Matthieu Luneau and Cédric Baulme, Unkle is an InsurTech startup formerly part of STATION F’s Founders Program. Specialized in rental guarantee solutions, the company presents itself as a new trusted intermediary between tenants and landlords, facilitating access to housing.
Unkle now has 25 employees and supports 20.000 tenants and owners in France. This new round of funding will allow the company to accelerate its B2C distribution, to strengthen its partnerships with real estate agencies and to expand its range of services. The company also plans to hire 50 new talents in 2022 to carry through this ambitious project.
“Over the last two years, we have shaken up the rules of access to housing and opened up the unpaid rent insurance market to B2C channels. This new round of funding will allow us to fulfill our ambitions, developing a unified platform to support landlords, tenants and agencies in their real estate projects”, says Matthieu Luneau, co-founder of Unkle.
