Meet Marie Comacle, Founder of Puissante (FemTech Program)
Puissante, part of STATION F’s FemTech Program, is a female wellness brand that aims at reducing taboos surrounding masturbation and female sexuality.
On a mission to improve women’s health thanks to innovation, Puissante (powerful in English) recently joined STATION F as part of our all new FemTech Program (applications open here until October 3). The company, founded by Marie Comacle, is a female wellness brand working on breaking taboos about masturbation and female sexuality.
“Making yourself feel good is normal”, says Marie Comacle. And the message she carries finds its echo: “We launched our first vibromator called Coco in January 2021 on Ulule. We were the 40st most financed project on the platform.” And that’s only the beginning. Marie is now working on building collaborations with some “brilliant brands and a great media”. On the distribution part, “people finally understand that sextoys are not only sexual, but they also contribute to female wellbeing” and Puissante’s products can now be distributed “on platforms and in stores who were not used to commercialize this type of products”.
To get there, Marie Comacle had to face multiple challenges: “There’s a big issue around SexTech and PornTech which are completely different but often mixed together. We encounter a lot of censorship or difficulties for simple administrative procedures because we’re talking about sexuality.”
Part of STATION F’s FemTech Program, Marie benefited from the community of the program. “It was very interesting to discuss the challenges that we face with our companies. We often have the same ones and discussions about it help us to find solutions”, she explains.
Applications for STATION F’s FemTech are open until October 3. Don’t hesitate to apply to benefit from the same support as Marie did.
