Marble partners with STATION F to create climate tech champions
STATION F and Marble join forces to build companies that slash emissions, remove carbon and cool the planet
Today, STATION F is absolutely thrilled to announce a new climate tech partner. Marble is a venture studio focused on creating deep tech startups that solve hard climate problems and reshape the world’s biggest industries.
Since their 2021 launch, Marble has created six companies addressing high impact areas: clean methanol to decarbonise shipping, aviation and chemicals (Aerleum), green ammonia to decarbonise fertilizer (Centeon), high performance concrete materials that removes CO2 (Bloomineral), weather control to transform coastal deserts into farmland and solar powerhouses (AtmoCooling), geologic hydrogen (Vema), and direct air capture (Stealth).
Marble selects top scientists, engineers and operators to join their Founder in Residence programme. Over 12 months, they work with Marble to develop breakthrough solutions for specific opportunity areas. Once the right co-founding team has been assembled, the best projects then spin out a new company with €250k in financing and a roadmap to seed.
STATION F is particularly thrilled to work with Marble in an effort to strengthen support for climate and deep tech companies on campus. Many successful climate tech companies have come out of STATION F - including Sweep, Greenly, Neoplants, Woodoo and more. However, STATION F believes that climate is one area where France and Europe are well positioned to build more global leaders, alongside sectors like AI and quantum computing. The Marble program is perfectly designed to work with leading scientists, engineers and researchers to build the top climate tech companies of tomorrow.
“We have started to see many more startup studios over the last few months. However, nothing quite compares to what Marble is doing. They are going to radically change the face of climate tech in France and we could not be more thrilled to have them on campus”— Roxanne Varza, STATION F Director
“As we work to create the home for future climate tech founders in Europe with Marble, we could not think of a better place to do it than at STATION F who have set the bar for startup ecosystems in France and in Europe”— Jonny Everett, Founding Partner at Marble
