STATION F announces top 40 pre-seed and seed companies for 2025
The 7th edition of STATION F’s Future 40 highlights repeat founders and strong fundraising achievements

STATION F is excited to reveal the 2025 edition of the Future 40, our annual selection of the most promising pre-seed and seed startups on campus. Once again, these companies represent the top 4% of our highly selective ecosystem. To celebrate the announcement, STATION F will host an online demo day, giving investors the chance to request introductions to the selected teams and past edition companies.
Now in its 7th edition, the Future 40 has highlighted startups like Tomorro, Genomines, 900.care, Spore.bio, Fintecture, Qantev, and Stonly, supported by top investors such as Accel, Khosla Ventures, EQT, Runa Capital, Northzone, LocalGlobe, Singular, RTP Global, and 20VC. Across all editions, the 280 featured companies have raised over €900M.
This year’s cohort also shows an evolution in founder profiles. Repeat entrepreneurs now make up 42% of the batch, alongside former VPs and founding team members from scaleups, as well as founders who have already successfully exited. Many have held senior roles at companies like Meta, Airbnb, Spendesk, PayFit, and Dataiku. Standouts include Karim Jouini, CEO of Thunders, who previously exited Expensya for over €100M, and Arnaud Weiss, a serial Future 40 founder (Batch 2020) who sold HeyAxel to LumApps and then helped scale LumApps to a $650M exit. These experiences mean the founders can move faster, fundraise smarter, and execute with precision.
Two startups in this year’s selection are also announcing funding rounds alongside their selection:
Freeda raised $3.9M with Frst Capital and Brick & Mortar Ventures.
Pearl raised $1.4M, led by 20VC and joined by Sunrise Ventures, Kima Ventures, and around thirty angels including founders from Pigment, sales leaders from Airtable, and former execs from Meta, PayFit, Adobe, and Datadog. Pearl’s founders, Alexis Pawlik and Adrien Gabizon (ex-Pigment, Meta, Algolia), bring a rare mix of sales excellence and deep AI expertise, having scaled Pigment’s revenue engine from zero to multi-million ARR.
This batch is particularly strong on the technical side: nearly 75% of founders are engineers, and 17 hold PhDs. AI agents are powering solutions in customer support, finance, productivity, and sales, while other startups tackle integration, security, and data challenges. Beyond AI, innovation extends to robotics and clean energy, including green hydrogen technologies to accelerate decarbonization. The cohort is also more international than ever, with 20 nationalities represented, including the US, China, Peru, Australia, Ukraine, South Africa, Tunisia, India, the UK, Belgium, Italy, and Russia.
All startups on campus have collectively raised over €1B this year (as of September) – a historic milestone for STATION F, and a testament to the strength of our ecosystem reflected in this year’s Future 40.
